About the Role
This position at Google offers a comprehensive experience in product marketing, working on a wide array of consumer and business products such as Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android, Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, and Analytics. The role involves shaping product trajectories through involvement in positioning, naming, competitive analyses, feature prioritization, and external communications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams spanning sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, and engineering.
As an Associate Product Marketing Manager (APMM), you will enter a dedicated development pathway characterized by an active community, structured support, and rich learning opportunities. You will engage in key marketing initiatives, broaden your marketing expertise, and benefit from mentorship and peer networks. Participation in APMM programming and contribution to the community are expected. Your projects will support organizational business objectives, involving direct responsibilities under guidance, which may include integrating users into product development, creating go-to-market strategies to drive awareness and adoption of new products and features, generating user insights, managing campaigns, enhancing Google’s brand strategy, or supporting growth marketing.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to formulating and implementing go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns for product launches, evaluating their success through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Help develop initiatives aimed at customer acquisition, including business planning, messaging, collateral production, and events coordination, along with measuring their effectiveness.
- Support evaluations of product and feature enhancements to better satisfy user requirements and ensure readiness for release while effectively communicating updates to users.
- Assist in preparing narratives, presentations, case studies, and marketing content targeted at clients and executives to accelerate business growth and strengthen engagement with customers and agencies.
- Carry out assorted marketing tasks associated with specific products or projects under managerial supervision.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agency work, technology, or related areas, demonstrated via full-time roles, internships, projects, or academic courses.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Practical experience in marketing roles.
- Experience with marketing and sales operations, financial analytics, or related analytical functions.
- Familiarity with utilizing artificial intelligence productivity tools to resolve complex problems and optimize business or development workflows.
