Job description

Company overview

KKR is a major global investment organization providing alternative asset management, capital markets, and insurance solutions. Its approach focuses on disciplined, long-term investing, backed by strong talent and a commitment to helping portfolio companies and communities grow. The firm’s investment platform spans private equity, credit, real assets, and hedge fund strategies through strategic partners. Through Global Atlantic Financial Group, KKR’s insurance businesses provide retirement, life, and reinsurance offerings.

KKR & Co. Inc. and its subsidiaries operate across the same broad investment and insurance platform described above. The company also notes that references to KKR investments may include the activities of its sponsored funds and insurance subsidiaries.

Team overview

The Global Finance group is responsible for tax compliance, credit and accounting, reporting, and the delivery of analytical insights that support business decisions and long-term performance. The team builds efficient frameworks using internal and external data, applies best practices, and works closely with Legal and Compliance to support accurate reporting, corporate tax entity oversight, investor support, onboarding, and ad-hoc tax-related requests.

Role summary

Based in Dublin, this role is centered on the day-to-day financial operations of an open-ended infrastructure fund managed by KKR. The successful candidate will join the Infrastructure team and support controllership activities across fund accounting, reporting, oversight, and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Support financial control, oversight, and reporting for the funds, including execution of internal controls within the team’s oversight model for external fund administrators.
  • Oversee and review fund accounting outputs from external administrators, including valuations, performance, management fee and carried interest calculations, investor capital balances, and financial statements during reporting close periods.
  • Coordinate daily with third-party administrators to monitor cash reconciliations, resolve variances, and authorize, execute, and review fund- and investor-level transactions such as subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, and redemptions.
  • Work with internal teams including Global Client Solutions, Client Services, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Technology, and deal teams to support investor onboarding and servicing, liquidity management, lender compliance, hedging, and regulatory/compliance filings.
  • Assist with quarterly internal reporting of fund asset and revenue figures, including reports needed for fund consolidation and SOX requirements where relevant.
  • Help manage annual and quarterly reporting and filing obligations for investors and regulatory bodies in line with governing documents and statutory requirements, including quarterly unaudited reports, annual audited financial statements, investor capital statements, and filings such as Annex IV, Form PF/ADV, and SFDR.
  • Maintain expense processing, budget tracking, and allocations for the funds.
  • Handle investor queries and support other ad-hoc reporting formats and templates.
  • Monitor the fund administrator’s scope of work, service level agreements, performance indicators, and timelines.
  • Work with external fund counsel to ensure compliance with governing documents and to communicate any updates to key fund terms to the administrator as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and broader transformation work, including technology improvements and process re-engineering projects.

Candidate profile

The company is looking for someone with at least five years of relevant financial experience, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently while also working effectively across teams and time zones.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant finance experience.
  • Background in open-ended funds or private equity hybrid funds.
  • Infrastructure fund experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with external service providers such as fund administrators and external auditors.
  • Hands-on exposure to public and private fund accounting, close, and reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP Investment Company accounting and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related subject.
  • Fully qualified accountant with ACCA or ACA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal ability and comfort building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident presence, practical judgment, and the ability to communicate views effectively to cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Capacity to work independently in a fast-moving environment and collaborate effectively across the organization, including regular coordination across time zones.
