Role Overview
The Associate Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in Indian Motorcycle's experiential marketing efforts, which are essential to promoting the brand's lifestyle appeal. This position leads the planning and execution of major experiential events throughout the year including consumer shows, rallies, and dealer events. Responsibilities involve managing agency relationships, overseeing an event field team, administering the marketing motorcycle fleet, and representing the brand onsite at key events. The role requires close partnership with brand, sales, agencies, and cross-functional teams within Polaris to achieve strategic marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a 4-6 person field events team and oversee approval of 100+ annual events.
- Coordinate event awareness and collaboration with Field Sales, dealers, and Indian Motorcycle owners.
- Manage and report on event KPIs, implementing monthly corrective actions when needed.
- Collaborate across departments such as PG&A, digital, and apparel to maximize event impact.
- Work alongside agency partners to develop creative materials and collateral for event activations.
- Occasionally attend events to manage onsite execution.
- Manage the dealer and consumer demonstration application.
- Plan and execute consumer and dealer network events including rallies, trade shows, dealer gatherings, and owner rides.
- Assist with event strategy, scheduling, budgeting, layout, logistics, and communications.
- Oversee communications calendar targeting internal teams, social media, agencies, dealers, and consumers.
- Coordinate promotional efforts across all media channels and ensure delivery.
- Develop unified plans integrating whole goods, accessories, and apparel lines for events.
- Formulate ROI measurement encompassing budget and retail performance goals.
- Manage Indian Motorcycle’s marketing fleet of 130-200 bikes, including inventory control and logistics with a six-figure shipping budget.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience; experiential marketing expertise highly valued.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management capabilities.
- Self-driven, proactive, solution-oriented professional able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills paired with creative problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written communication, analytical thinking, and influencing skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel 30%-60% annually, often during evenings and weekends, with peak season from May to September.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary range for this position in Minnesota is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, with final placement dependent on education, experience, skills, and location.
