Job Purpose
The Associate Manager - Survey conducts both hydrographic and topographic surveys to support dredging activities. The role involves using specialized equipment to develop accurate bathymetric maps while maintaining stringent data quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute survey operations considering environmental impacts, allocate resources, and align with project objectives.
- Perform advanced hydrographic surveys to monitor sediment deposits and underwater hazards critical for dredging safety.
- Develop detailed underwater mapping and models using software such as Hypack and AutoCAD to generate comprehensive charts.
- Analyze tidal information to maintain consistent depth readings and adjust dredging operations accordingly.
- Ensure survey equipment is maintained, calibrated, and updated with current technological standards.
- Manage survey data storage, backups, and standardize formats for accessibility and use.
- Implement rigorous quality control through regular equipment calibration and data validation to assure reliability.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports to stakeholders while maintaining data integrity and accessibility.
- Collaborate on budgeting with survey leadership, overseeing cost control and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Continuously assess and refine survey techniques to incorporate innovations enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about digital transformation trends and artificial intelligence to support business competitiveness.

Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Survey, Naval Survey Recorder qualification, or Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a combined hydrographic and topographic surveyor.
