Associate Heart Valve Specialist

About the Role

As an Associate Heart Valve Specialist, you will focus on the assembly of heart valve stents and related medical devices by applying precision sewing and handling skills, adhering to strict regulatory, quality, and safety standards. Your work will contribute directly to manufacturing life-saving cardiovascular devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized manual tools, such as needles, forceps, scissors, and microscopes, to complete various sewing operations on stent and valve assemblies in a production environment.
• Inspect completed assembly steps against specifications to assure quality and compliance.
• Follow standard operating procedures, document all work per requirements, and accurately record device information in the relevant systems (e.g., manufacturing execution system MES, JDE) as instructed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace by performing line clearance at the start of each shift and when switching tasks, including the use of approved cleaning agents for environmental control.
• Conduct visual inspections under microscopes and participate in a peer review process to check the quality of colleagues’ work sequences.
• Assist with additional tasks related to workplace maintenance, basic material handling, and workstation documentation or labeling.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of secondary education is required; prior experience in sewing, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), cleanroom procedures, or medical device assembly is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Open to candidates without previous experience in related fields, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Demonstrated high manual dexterity and competence with small hand tools.
• Basic comprehension of manufacturing protocols and familiarity with computer systems are preferred.
• Strong hand–eye coordination is essential.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to work collaboratively within teams and follow detailed instructions independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the assembly process.
• Adherence to all company health, safety, and environmental protection policies and the ability to work under established pandemic and EHS protocols.
