Role Purpose
This position is responsible for promoting Retail Bank products and services to achieve assigned sales targets for a specific line of business. The role also involves cross-selling additional banking products based on customer needs, while delivering prompt, courteous, and high-quality service. A key part of the job is responding to customer questions and encouraging deeper engagement with the Retail Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of Retail Bank products to grow volume, improve profitability, and meet or exceed assigned targets.
- Promote additional Retail Bank services and solutions to support market share growth and revenue objectives.
- Apply KPI standards and established best practices for the Associate, Domestic Sales Center role.
- Work in a cost-conscious manner that improves efficiency, reduces waste, and supports overall productivity.
- Operate strictly within the authority and responsibilities delegated to the role.
- Strengthen the bank’s reputation by providing proactive, customer-focused service that supports superior customer experience.
- Visit customers at their office or residence, when convenient, to present bank products and collect complete documentation without requiring branch visits.
- Handle customer queries within the required turnaround time to maintain satisfaction.
- Share feedback, concerns, and improvement ideas regarding products and services with the Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with key HR and Finance contacts at ministries and private-sector companies on the approved company list.
- Support customers with product-related questions and guide them toward appropriate solutions.
- Maintain service level commitments with internal departments and units to improve processing speed.
- Build effective working relationships across teams to help achieve business goals.
- Provide accurate and timely information to auditors, compliance teams, financial control, and risk teams when needed.
- Ensure application forms are completed correctly and supported by all required documents to avoid errors and delays.
- Serve as the first contact point for new customers by answering questions and explaining Retail Bank products and services.
- Help customers complete forms and applications for services such as account opening, ATM cards, credit cards, and loans.
- Coordinate with operations staff as needed to support smooth and timely service delivery.
- Escalate unresolved customer issues to the Direct Sales Supervisor for support.
- Submit regular reports to the Sales Supervisor on sales calls and ideas for increasing business volume.
- Track service standards within the Retail Bank and suggest creative improvements to service delivery.
- Follow internal service quality standards and comply with audit expectations.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of QNB Retail products, services, and special promotions, especially those sold through the sales channel.
- Participate in all bank-arranged training sessions and any other training required for effective performance.
- Stay informed about competitor products, pricing, and market activity, and share market intelligence in weekly sales meetings.
- Identify opportunities for personal professional growth and development.
Education and Experience
A university bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or another related discipline. No prior work experience is required.
