Role Summary
This Associate Director position is within the Transaction Services team, which provides comprehensive support across the entire M&A process. The team offers due diligence, financial analytics, transaction accounting advice, review of Sale and Purchase Agreements, and assessment of Investigating Accountant Reports related to IPOs, all enhanced with advanced technology in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence engagements for clients experiencing rapid growth.
- Evaluate both quantitative and qualitative company, industry, and transaction data to pinpoint vital performance metrics and value drivers.
- Maintain communication with clients concerning business performance, cash flow predictions, and valuation factors.
- Apply critical thinking to identify issues and suggest advice-related strategies.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of a business through analyzing trading histories, earnings quality, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, forecasts, assumptions, and core performance drivers.
- Participate in a team culture where professional mentoring and coaching are prioritized as a key part of career development.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex ideas both verbally and in writing to inspire and facilitate change.
- Responsible for reviewing and overseeing the preparation of high-quality client deliverables and presenting them to senior leadership.
- Demonstrates commercial awareness, resilience, enthusiasm, and teamwork, combined with a strong work ethic and an open, inquisitive mindset that fosters innovative problem-solving for client challenges.
- Possesses strong analytical capabilities in both quantitative and qualitative contexts alongside proficient report-writing skills.
- Experienced in financial analyses utilizing Excel, with financial modeling skills considered a plus.
- Capable of establishing and maintaining strong relationships at various organizational levels, internally and externally.
- Skilled in project management to effectively meet deadlines across multiple client projects.
Educational Requirements
A degree in Commerce or Finance is required, as well as a relevant professional qualification in accounting or finance.
