Role Overview

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate & Industry Partnerships to help lead its corporate engagement and sponsorship efforts as part of a newly reorganized Development Department. In this role, you will shape strategy, build and grow corporate philanthropy, secure sponsorships, and develop partnerships that strengthen the Foundation’s programs and broaden its influence across the entertainment and corporate worlds.

Working alongside the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, Director of Development, and the Communications team, you will create and execute partnership plans that generate revenue, raise visibility, and support long-term organizational growth. This is a strong opportunity for a relationship-driven, strategic professional who wants to contribute to a high-performing team and expand the Foundation’s corporate giving portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a multi-year strategy for corporate sponsorships and partnerships that supports the organization’s priorities.
  • Identify, engage, and secure new partners from the entertainment, technology, consumer, and philanthropy sectors.
  • Create attractive sponsorship offerings and partnership structures that support programs and events.
  • Oversee a portfolio of existing and prospective corporate donors and sponsors to ensure meaningful engagement and strong fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with executives, brand partners, and industry councils.
  • Partner with the CEO and CSO on senior-level outreach, meetings, and cultivation efforts.
  • Drive sponsorship activity for major Foundation events, including the SAG Awards Auction Series, Golf Classic, and Pickleball Invitational.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Communications to deliver polished sponsor experiences and visibility across digital and in-person channels.
  • Monitor sponsor deliverables and make sure recognition, reporting, and follow-through are completed on time.
  • Work across the Development Department to apply research, strategy, and tactical support.
  • Collaborate with Communications to showcase sponsor impact through digital content and social engagement.
  • Work with Finance and Development Operations on revenue forecasting, budget tracking, and reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to planning, systems, and infrastructure that support corporate fundraising growth.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in entertainment corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and business development.
  • Proven success in closing major partnerships and renewals.
  • Solid understanding of brand marketing, corporate social responsibility, and the entertainment ecosystem.
  • Strong writing, speaking, and presentation abilities, including the ability to develop persuasive proposals and pitch materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a results-focused mindset, and a collaborative approach.

Performance Expectations

  • Increase corporate sponsorship revenue year over year.
  • Broaden strategic partnerships across priority sectors.
  • Improve retention and satisfaction among corporate partners.

Who You Are

You are a strategic, innovative, and highly organized development professional who performs well in a fast-paced environment. You communicate clearly, have a strong record of surpassing fundraising targets, and care deeply about advancing the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s mission. If you are a forward-thinking leader with excellent relationship-building skills and a commitment to revenue growth, this position could be a strong fit.
