About the Role
Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, MGM Resorts International invites dynamic individuals to join our vibrant entertainment and sports team. As the Associate Creative Director, Entertainment & Sports, you will be the primary creative leader and brand guardian for MGM's entertainment and sports segments. This includes ongoing enhancement and evolution of well-established creative platforms connected to live and artist events, residencies, and major professional sports partnerships such as Formula 1, NFL, NHL, and MLB.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the brand identity, tone, and visual style for a variety of portfolios including luxury resorts, lifestyle venues, entertainment and sports collaborations, loyalty programs, and content projects.
- Lead or assist with the daily conceptualization, development, and delivery of marketing campaigns, brand content, identity systems, and special brand experiences, ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with business pace and standards.
- Directly contribute creative input such as original design concepts, art direction, content creation, and copywriting for complex and prominent projects across multiple formats.
- Collaborate closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including property executives, marketing teams, entertainment divisions, food and beverage, brand partnerships, strategists, and venue operators to transform business strategies and audience insights into integrated creative initiatives.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to direct reports and matrixed creative teams, including designers, copywriters, agencies, and production partners, to uphold creative consistency and excellence.
- Oversee or engage in developing comprehensive marketing programs that span the entire consumer journey from pre-event through post-event experiences.
- Explore and incorporate emerging technologies and methods such as generative AI into the creative process, ensuring quality and compliance controls are met.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in design, advertising, marketing, communications, fine arts, brand management, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 7 years of advancing experience in creative roles involving art direction or content development within agencies, in-house teams, or content-focused environments.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in large-scale campaigns, brand identities, content, and experiential marketing activations.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring both direct and matrixed creative teams, as well as managing external creative agencies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to working with senior leaders.
- High proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and current collaboration tools.
