Job description
About the Opportunity
RBC is seeking an Associate for the Central Funding Group to provide expertise and input for new projects and initiatives, and to advise on and facilitate various processes for existing Central Funding Group businesses. This role involves supporting global trading desks, managing KYC processes, and identifying operational risks.
Responsibilities
- Contribute expertise and implementation support for new projects, business ventures, and initiatives within the Central Funding Group.
- Facilitate the creation and management of documentation for all global Central Funding Group trading desks.
- Manage the Know Your Customer (KYC) process for Central Funding Group products, monitor outstanding KYC completions, and assist with annual KYC refreshes.
- Proactively identify and report operational risks and control deficiencies within the business.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Firm Policies related to business activities.
- Promptly escalate any identified operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, and risks to management and relevant risk/control functions.
- Assist with and track the completion of necessary filings for US Treasury Clearing with FICC.
- Monitor the documentation and status of US Treasury Clearing activities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of securities finance and derivative transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of derivatives and securities finance documentation.
- Familiarity with securities finance trading systems.
- Understanding of risk management, credit, and approval processes.
- Thorough knowledge of bank structures, subsidiary structures, trading products, and trading businesses.
- Solid grasp of financial markets.
- Proven ability to manage competing work demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working effectively with diverse personalities.
- High level of organizational skills required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are preferred.
- Extensive experience in a financial environment is advantageous.
- Ability to analyze risk is a plus.
