About the Role
Walkers is currently seeking a motivated and team-focused Associate to join its prominent Asset Management and Investment Funds team based in Dublin. This team is a globally recognized leader, serving many top asset management firms worldwide. The role involves working on sophisticated cross-border fund transactions with collaboration across ten international offices.
Responsibilities
- Providing expert legal advice on structuring and establishing Irish domiciled investment funds.
- Offering ongoing counsel to Irish funds authorized under UCITS, RIAIFs, ELTIFs, and QIAIFs, as well as to management companies and fund service providers including investment managers and advisers.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad array of fund-related documentation and agreements with service providers.
- Managing project tasks and coordinating with team members locally and internationally.
- Developing and maintaining client and industry relationships.
- Supporting legal and regulatory development projects and managing their execution.
- Preparing client advisories and industry updates to enhance professional presence.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants with 3 to 5 years post-qualification experience in asset management or investment funds practice in Ireland, including those considering transitioning from in-house roles or relocating to Ireland.
- A collaborative team player with strong academic achievements.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and technical skills combined with keen commercial insight.
- Composed and thoughtful problem solver capable of working independently and within teams.
- Possesses strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to anticipate and plan for changes in regulatory landscape.
