Role Overview

The Associate in Asset Management will support the management of investments and portfolios within the firm's debt and equity platforms. This position involves engagement with projects through all stages from pre-development to lease-up and stabilization. The equity portfolio primarily includes development projects nationwide across multifamily, student housing, and mixed-use properties. The debt portfolio covers senior, mezzanine, and preferred equity investments across all asset types on a national scale. The firm itself has over $4.4 billion assets under management, headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive financial models including property level projections, debt financing structures, JV waterfalls, and other detailed analyses such as budgets, reforecasts, and sensitivity studies.
  • Support asset management functions including return analysis, coordination with joint venture partners, business plan execution oversight, and investor reporting.
  • Assist with financial and investor reporting, and prepare presentations for senior leadership and investors.
  • Support marketing efforts aimed at enhancing platform growth.
  • Monitor investment performance, review and analyze real estate documents, JV agreements, and loan contracts.
  • Facilitate capital activities such as reviewing draw requests, processing contributions and distributions.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of three years relevant experience, preferably in asset management, development, or acquisitions across major real estate asset classes.
  • Client-facing experience is advantageous.
  • High proficiency with advanced financial modeling and Excel, plus Word, PowerPoint, and ARGUS Enterprise software.
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

Travel Requirements

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, with discretionary bonuses. Compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
