Role Overview
At our Hamburg location, we are seeking an Analyst for Corporate Finance Advisory within the Corporate Management department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in international and domestic transaction processes, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Growth Capital, and Financial & Debt Advisory.
- Prepare acquisition materials such as pitch presentations and marketing documents including teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations.
- Conduct company, market, and competitive analyses, including research on target companies, competitors, markets, and prospective investors.
- Develop financial models, perform financial analyses, and execute company valuations based on recognized methodologies such as multiples of listed comparables, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow (DCF) techniques.
- Participate in acquisition, client, and investor meetings.
- Support the creation and maintenance of (virtual) project data rooms.
- Collaborate across departments including M&A, Growth, Financial Advisory, and other segments of the bank.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Successfully completed university degree in economics, business administration, or a related field; international experience is advantageous.
- Relevant internships and initial transaction experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or transaction/financial advisory roles.
- Strong analytical skills and practical experience in financial modeling; excellent communication abilities are beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with experience using transaction tools such as FactSet, PitchBook, or Mergermarket.
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- High level of commitment, independence, structured working style, and teamwork skills.
