About the Role
Abu Dhabi University’s College of Law in the UAE is looking to appoint a faculty member in Technology and Law at the Assistant Professor level, with Associate Professor consideration available in exceptional cases. The university is recognized as a global research and teaching institution and is ranked in the Top 250 in the 2026 Times Higher Education rankings.
The College of Law is a recognized regional hub for legal education and offers a Bachelor of Law, Master of Public Law, Master of Private Law, Master of Law in Cyber Law and Artificial Intelligence, and a PhD in Law. Its programs are accredited by CAA and WASC. Teaching is delivered primarily in Arabic and English, reflecting the institution’s focus on academic quality and cultural diversity.
Teaching Language
Candidates are expected to be able to teach in both English and Arabic. However, applicants who can teach only in English are also welcome to apply.

- A CV that includes education, teaching experience, research experience, and publication history, along with links to your Google Scholar and Scopus profiles.
- A two-page research proposal describing the research you intend to pursue over the next 2 to 4 years while at the College of Law.
Minimum Criteria
Applications that do not satisfy the listed criteria will not be considered.
- For Assistant Professor consideration, applicants must hold a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Applicants should demonstrate strong scholarly achievement relevant to their discipline.
- For Assistant Professor level, at least 3 years of full-time teaching and research experience, supported by important research publications, is required.
- Applicants should show strong teaching capability and sustained engagement with students both inside and outside the classroom.
- For Associate Professor consideration, applicants should have at least 8 years of full-time teaching and research experience, along with key research publications.
- Associate Professor applicants must also provide their top 10 Scopus-indexed publications and add a five-line explanation for each paper describing its contribution to academic literature.
- Applicants should have communication and presentation strengths, as well as computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office.
- Applicants should hold a teaching qualification or be prepared to complete one through the UK HEA Fellowship Scheme.
- Applicants must show a clear commitment to publishing in Scopus-indexed outlets.
- Evidence of active participation in research networks is expected.
- Experience in organizing student activities and events is desirable.
- Candidates should demonstrate the qualities of a strong and responsible university citizen.
