Role Overview

The Assistant/Associate Buyer for the Bath category at Quince will lead the expansion and management of the Bath product assortment to delight customers. This position plays a key role in driving category growth by managing product selection, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives to ensure outstanding quality and value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the Bath product assortment strategy aligned with company standards for quality and affordability.
• Utilize customer data and insights to optimize and scale the assortment, analyzing revenue, margins, inventory, and return rates to guide decisions.
• Identify gaps in the bath product range and refine the product roadmap accordingly.
• Introduce and grow new product types such as novelty towels and bathroom accessories within the first year.
• Implement quality improvement measures based on product reviews, ratings, and return data.
• Collaborate with sourcing to find and develop new products prioritizing sustainability, quality, and craftsmanship.
• Work closely with marketing and creative teams to ensure compelling product storytelling and successful launches.
• Act as the category expert, leading cross-functional partnerships to support customer-centric decisions.
• Combine analytical rigor with creative merchandising to drive category success.
• Maintain strong communication and foster collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Position located in San Francisco, CA with in-office presence required three days per week.
• 5-8 years of retail merchandising experience in bath textiles, preferably with luxury product expertise.
• Experience in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrated career growth and increasing responsibilities in merchandising roles.
• Strong product-focused mindset with experience using data tools and market research.
• Keen ability to anticipate and fulfill customer needs through both analytical and creative approaches.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with a commitment to execution, problem-solving, and brand enhancement.
• Continuous learner with a proactive attitude towards new challenges and perspectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Thrives in fast-paced collaborative settings and is flexible to stretch beyond comfort zones as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $130,000 USD annually, with potential bonuses and equity awards based on eligibility.
