Job Summary

The role focuses on leading the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning functions for QNB Groups domestic and international operations. The incumbent will employ advanced budgeting and forecasting tools to drive business performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in directing the annual budgeting procedures across all Group divisions and departments, ensuring standardized business planning, budgeting, and review practices alongside continuous monitoring of budget control systems.
  • Prepare and present management information system (MIS) reports promptly to senior management and the Board for effective business performance oversight and timely corrective measures.
  • Implement KPIs and best practices related to financial budgeting and business planning functions.
  • Promote cost efficiency and productivity enhancements to minimize expenses, reduce waste, and optimize bank benefits.
  • Coordinate actively with divisional and departmental heads to enforce budgeting exercises and investigate significant budget deviations.
  • Establish and sustain robust relationships across departments and units to support the Groups strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure prompt resolution of budgetary reporting requirements and system enhancements.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding bank products and provide effective solutions.
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreements within internal partnerships to improve process turnaround times.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external auditors and compliance functions as necessary.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of budgeting and forecasting tools and methodologies, ensuring compliance with financial control policies.
  • Identify and address inaccuracies in budget outputs and collaborate on budgeting system upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain budgetary policies, frameworks, and templates aligned with Group standards.
  • Enhance budget monitoring forms and structures to guarantee comprehensive budget control processes.
  • Supervise and coach personnel within the unit to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of budgeting regulations, standards (IFRS, IAS), and best practices.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for personal and team professional growth and skill development in budgeting and MIS reporting.
  • Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality, ethics, and compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policies including AML, CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, whistle-blowing, conflict of interest, and insider dealing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards including IFRS and IAS.
  • Expertise in budgeting methodologies and tools.
  • Highly developed analytical and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven capability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across organizational levels to achieve results.
