Role Overview
This senior regional leadership position oversees the performance of several multifamily communities within an assigned area. The role connects on-site teams with senior leadership and focuses on delivering strong financial results, smooth operations, and high resident satisfaction.
The selected leader will coach property managers, set performance expectations, and drive occupancy, revenue, expense management, and compliance across the portfolio. It is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in lease-up environments, multi-property management, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple communities directly and ensure day-to-day operations reflect company standards and policies.
- Visit properties regularly to review leasing performance, resident experience, maintenance quality, and safety or compliance conditions.
- Work with on-site managers to define and track targets for leasing, collections, occupancy, marketing, and resident retention.
- Identify operational issues early and put practical solutions in place.
- Develop annual budgets for assigned properties with input from local teams and align them with ownership objectives.
- Review monthly financial results, variance reports, and collection data, then guide corrective action where needed.
- Authorize replacement costs, purchase orders, and vendor invoices within approved contract limits.
- Ensure rent collection, deposit posting, and financial reporting are completed accurately and on time.
- Audit renewals, delinquency reports, and operating practices to improve revenue performance and maintain compliance.
- Hire, mentor, and develop property managers and site staff to build effective teams.
- Provide training on leasing, operations, collections, maintenance, resident relations, and company policies.
- Support leadership development for property managers and help strengthen motivation and productivity.
- Oversee employee reviews, recognition efforts, and internal growth opportunities across the region.
- Review weekly and monthly marketing reports to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend changes to pricing, concessions, and promotional activity using market analysis.
- Assist site teams with lease-up plans, retention programs, and competitive marketing efforts.
- Help ensure communities maintain visibility through signage, online presence, events, and advertising.
- Confirm that all communities follow applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing, ADA, and Texas Property Code requirements.
- Stay current on best practices and rule changes affecting multifamily operations.
- Perform audits, inspections, and reviews to reduce risk and keep processes consistent.
- Work with compliance and legal teams to address issues before they escalate.
- Promote a strong resident-service culture across the portfolio.
- Handle escalated resident issues and support improvements that raise satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee resident engagement efforts such as events, outreach activities, and community-building programs.
- Provide weekly and monthly performance updates to the Vice President with key metrics, insights, and next steps.
- Keep communication steady and transparent with on-site managers, owners, and corporate leadership.
- Represent the company regionally and help maintain consistent operational and financial practices across all properties.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of multifamily property management experience with regional or multi-property oversight.
- Previous lease-up experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of property operations, budgeting, financial reporting, and team leadership.
- Excellent coaching, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience using property management platforms such as OneSite, Yardi, or Bluemoon, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Willingness to travel often and manage several priorities across a region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Must be able to travel to multiple on-site properties.
- Occasional evening and weekend availability is required for visits, inspections, or lease-ups.
- Work may involve a mix of office-based, remote, and on-site responsibilities.
- Physical activity includes approximately 60% standing or walking and 40% desk work.
- May require occasional bending, stooping, stair climbing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment is expected.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Additional Information
