Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing a customer-centered, sales-driven, profitable, and productive retail environment. The role involves motivating the team by embodying core values such as prioritizing customer service and ensuring the achievement of store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager enforces adherence to company policies and operational procedures among store employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring team members provide engaging, positive, and genuine customer experiences
• Manage customer interactions in line with policies, striving to resolve issues favorably and escalate when needed
• Keep the store clean and organized to create a safe and welcoming shopping and working atmosphere
• Relay customer feedback to leadership for service improvements
• Step into the floor supervisor role during non-peak times to support store operations
• Hold oneself and staff accountable for completing all operational tasks effectively
• Coach sales associates and offer constructive performance feedback
• Recognize and reward associates who deliver outstanding results to boost engagement
• Direct and clarify company guidelines and standards to team members
• Assign and prioritize tasks to fulfill operational needs promptly
• Execute visual merchandising directives and uphold company visual presentation standards
• Enhance operational efficiencies in store processes
• Manage merchandise flow and presentation in both sales areas and stockroom
• Ensure the stockroom and sales floor remain tidy and safe
• Enforce compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety protocols among staff
• Demonstrate passion for Pacsun products, brands, fashion, and trends
• Consistently exhibit core values to inspire and energize the team
• Show eagerness to learn about products, brands, fashion, and trends

Qualifications

• Strong enthusiasm for fashion, product knowledge, and brand engagement
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation abilities
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in mathematics and computer use

• Maintain exemplary conduct, integrity, and confidentiality as a leader and role model
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to drive results and foster transparency, collaboration, and accountability

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift or move items up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift or move items up to 35 pounds
• Frequent periods of sitting or standing for extended durations; ability to climb ladders as necessary
• Routine activities include talking, hearing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching, twisting, and squatting
• Capability to navigate the sales floor, stockroom, and office spaces
• Requires close, distance, and depth vision, along with focus adjustment
• Work environment may involve variable temperatures and standard lighting conditions

Employment Details

This is a full-time position requiring availability for 32 to 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work during weekends, evenings, and peak holiday periods is essential due to the retail nature of the business.
