Role overview
Join Bounty Dairy as an Assistant Dairy Production Manager (3IC) and take on a hands-on role with real responsibility. This opportunity is designed for someone looking to grow into farm management while contributing to a supportive team that values learning, safety, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with the Farm Manager and receive training and mentoring as you build your capability.
Key duties
- Assist with feed allocation and pasture management to support production goals.
- Oversee milking activities and uphold strong hygiene and milk quality standards.
- Keep a close eye on animal health and wellbeing.
- Run effluent systems responsibly and stay compliant with environmental requirements.
- Support and coach junior staff while helping with everyday farm operations.
About the farm
Bounty Dairy Unit covers 629 hectares, winters 1,700 cows, and milks 1,600 cows at peak through a 60-bail rotary. The farm is located about 10 minutes from Taupō, offering a balance of rural living and easy access to outdoor recreation, local amenities, and schooling options.

Additional requirements
