Role Overview

The Assistant Merchandiser will play a key role in supporting the growth of Marni's North American market by combining analytical skill sets with merchandising expertise. This position focuses on enhancing the full-price segment through strategic assortment planning, managing product lifecycles, and contributing to the financial success of the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive weekly sales analyses and monitor performance metrics.
  • Identify emerging market trends and pinpoint growth opportunities.
  • Handle assortment planning tools and data to inform business decisions.
  • Facilitate data-driven strategies to optimize business operations.
  • Support all phases of the buying process from initial concept through to execution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of assortments.
  • Implement markdown tactics and provide reorder recommendations.
  • Collaborate with teams in Digital, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising.
  • Work closely with Retail teams to tailor store-specific strategies.
  • Contribute to global merchandising projects and initiatives.
  • Engage actively in market campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Manage the processing and tracking of shipments and orders, ensuring timely deliveries to stores.
  • Assist in developing buying strategies, line planning, and assortment construction.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years' experience in Retail Buying or Merchandising.
  • Bachelor's degree completed.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data.
  • Ability to work onsite in New York City office four days per week.

  • Experience in Ready-To-Wear (RTW) category merchandise.
