Role Overview
The Assistant Merchandiser will play a key role in supporting the growth of Marni's North American market by combining analytical skill sets with merchandising expertise. This position focuses on enhancing the full-price segment through strategic assortment planning, managing product lifecycles, and contributing to the financial success of the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive weekly sales analyses and monitor performance metrics.
- Identify emerging market trends and pinpoint growth opportunities.
- Handle assortment planning tools and data to inform business decisions.
- Facilitate data-driven strategies to optimize business operations.
- Support all phases of the buying process from initial concept through to execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assortments.
- Implement markdown tactics and provide reorder recommendations.
- Collaborate with teams in Digital, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising.
- Work closely with Retail teams to tailor store-specific strategies.
- Contribute to global merchandising projects and initiatives.
- Engage actively in market campaigns and promotional activities.
- Manage the processing and tracking of shipments and orders, ensuring timely deliveries to stores.
- Assist in developing buying strategies, line planning, and assortment construction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience in Retail Buying or Merchandising.
- Bachelor's degree completed.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data.
- Ability to work onsite in New York City office four days per week.
