Job description
Role Overview
The Access & Community Engagement Department at the National Arts Council (NAC) Singapore works to ensure that arts form a vital, accessible component of daily life for all residents of Singapore. The department strives to forge a socially connected and culturally distinctive city by advocating the significance of arts through creating meaningful public interactions. In this role, you will help champion the arts' value by developing strategic partnerships with corporate, governmental, and social organizations, supporting arts-centric initiatives within communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and cultivate strategic collaborations to expand access points for arts participation across diverse demographics, abilities, and age groups, including initiatives like ArtsEverywhere@CDC and Busking.
- Provide funding and commission innovative community arts projects, ensuring excellence in project execution and meaningful impact, with focus areas including Arts & Wellbeing and Arts & Disability.
- Encourage the adoption of program design frameworks and toolkits to assist partners and stakeholders in crafting effective arts programs that promote social and wellbeing benefits.
- Oversee administration of NAC's grant schemes throughout the lifecycle from application to completion, ensuring thorough monitoring of funded projects and successful delivery of agreed-upon results.
Candidate Profile
- For the manager level, possess minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in partnership management, community engagement, or arts administration.
- Demonstrated capability in project planning, management, and evaluation from start to finish.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in data management and basic data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Skilled in engaging and advising partners and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; articulate and persuasive.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure or demanding situations.
