Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager located in Adelaide, South Australia, to help maintain the dynamic atmosphere and smooth operation of our venues under ALH Hotels. This position offers a salary range from $79,500 to $82,500 plus superannuation.
Role Responsibilities
- Build lasting relationships with local patrons to become a familiar and trusted presence.
- Assist the Publican in ensuring the venue operates efficiently, safely, and with a positive ambiance.
- Gain hands-on knowledge and experience as a future Publican while leading a dedicated hospitality team.
- Proactively manage challenges before they escalate into significant issues.
- Maintain high energy levels, deliver excellent service, and foster a welcoming environment during every shift.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires manual handling tasks such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Candidates must be capable of performing these physical duties safely and effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience working in bar, bistro, or gaming room environments, ideally with some supervisory responsibility.
- Learned from strong leadership and now ready to advance into a managerial role.
- Possesses confidence, pride, and excellent interpersonal skills to represent the venue when the Publican is unavailable.
- Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG/RCG) as required by state legislation.
