About STCC
The Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium aims to amplify the impact of cancer research and translational initiatives in Singapore by uniting leading basic, clinical, and translational teams to oversee collaborative cancer research programmes. STCC operates as part of CRIS, supported by the National Research Foundation and the Ministry of Health through the National Medical Research Council. It leverages partnerships with key institutions like NCCS, NCIS, NUH, NUS, and TTSH, along with academia and industry, to foster value-based healthcare innovation and economic contributions through collaborative cancer research.
Role Overview
This position of Assistant Manager in the Programme Office supports the coordination and management of significant translational cancer research programmes under STCC. The role facilitates collaboration across multiple STCC platforms, strengthens the delivery of multi-institutional programmes, and aligns clinical, research, data, and industry efforts for effective outcomes. The incumbent will engage across platforms, with the scope for increased responsibilities as familiarity deepens.
Key Duties
- Assist in planning and executing STCC programmes by developing and monitoring workplans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate activities among stakeholders spanning institutions and platforms to ensure smooth programme progress.
- Follow up on tasks to maintain steady advancement of initiatives and provide ongoing support to programme leads to achieve targets.
- Enhance cross-platform coordination by working with platform managers and leads to align activities, clarify roles, and identify any bottlenecks, escalating issues as needed.
- Support platforms in integrating their capabilities with programme and collaboration requirements, including aiding preparation of materials for partnerships and coordinating inputs from various parties.
- Assist Programme Office functions such as progress tracking, reporting, meeting coordination, documentation, and follow-up of action points.
- Prepare materials for internal and external meetings, support coordination across multiple stakeholders, and drive process improvements within the Programme Office to increase efficiency.
- Demonstrate ownership in assigned responsibilities and independently ensure tasks are completed on time.
