Role Overview
The Assistant Manager - Plant Buyer position involves leading and supporting initiatives to reduce costs at the plant level through effective supplier management and collaboration with internal teams. This role requires active involvement in managing supplier relationships, payables, and engineering change execution, while driving localization efforts within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support initiatives aimed at cost reduction within the plant.
- Oversee relationships with suppliers operating at the plant level.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings.
- Manage the improvement of supplier payment processes.
- Handle engineering change management and ensure successful execution.
- Promote and drive localization efforts at the plant.
- Address and resolve any supplier-related issues promptly.
