Job description
Overview
The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Singapore-based contract Associate Manager to help drive marketing and partnership execution for the D23 Asia event in Singapore. The role sits at the center of marketing delivery and partner coordination, supporting the event marketing lead with activities focused mainly on Singapore, plus owned media across APAC and the US. The successful candidate will act as the main link between event partners and Disney business teams to make sure contractual commitments are turned into practical plans, delivered on time, and measured effectively.
Disney values imagination, innovation, and inclusion, and the company emphasizes continuous learning, development, and achievement within a collaborative global environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end execution of the marketing campaign, including messaging, positioning, tactical rollout, performance tracking, and post-event review.
- Monitor budgets carefully, manage resource use efficiently, and help ensure spend is tied to measurable returns.
- Work closely with agencies on a day-to-day basis and coordinate with APAC and US stakeholders for marketing input and approvals.
- Align each assigned partner’s goals, brand rules, and strategic priorities with Disney’s commercial guidelines.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison for assigned event partners and sponsors, including those based in Greater China, and coordinate internally with Disney Lines of Business.
- Manage partner execution by translating contractual commitments into project plans and deliverables that meet expectations while respecting timelines and brand standards.
- Oversee partner activations on site and promotional execution, including brand showcases, experiential elements, VIP hospitality, and pre-event promotion.
- Support audience-focused marketing planning, including budget inputs, audience sizing, consumer insights, media planning, message distribution, and reporting.
- Help align the broader campaign across Disney, corporate alliance partners, Singapore Tourism Board, and internal teams to increase overall impact.
- Prepare partner toolkits containing the briefing, design, and approval materials needed to run activities efficiently.
- Build end-to-end VIP hospitality plans, including VIP listings, name tags, security access coordination, and on-ground support planning.
- Develop integrated activation plans covering partner marketing and communications, brand design, and VIP hospitality operations.
- Refresh and prepare pitch decks and supporting documentation for future partner presentations.
- Maintain partner project trackers with key milestones, deadlines, and critical path items leading up to launch.
- Produce weekly or biweekly status updates that summarize progress, issues, and key discussions.
- Handle any other deliverables needed to ensure partner contractual obligations and the D23 Asia marketing plan are successfully delivered.
Requirements
- A university degree or an equivalent professional qualification is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in brand marketing, partnership marketing, strategic key account management, event sponsorships, or complex project execution.
- Working knowledge of Disney, its franchises, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line, along with an understanding of Disney brand boundaries and storytelling.
- Ability to perform well independently and as part of a team, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful approach with the ability to identify next steps and carry work through to completion.
- Strong commercial awareness, strategic judgment, and creativity to maximize the value of partnerships.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to turn complex operational topics into clear executive updates and presentations.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments and setting priorities and structure where needed.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for client-facing proposals and data tracking.
