Role Overview

This permanent full-time role within the Corporate Safety, Health, Environment & Sustainability Assurance function is focused on driving the Environmental Assurance processes for GIG. The position primarily involves ensuring reliability and validation of BRSR data, undertaking periodic environmental legal compliance assessments, and enhancing the sustainability audit system via independent audits and insightful reporting. The role supports the mission of achieving zero incidents, zero health issues, and no adverse environmental impacts across the Group.

Responsibilities

• Lead the environmental assurance process, focusing on BRSR data accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct routine validations of environmental legal compliance across business verticals.
• Perform independent environmental sustainability audits and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business units to reinforce policies, standards, and a culture promoting EHS excellence.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainability, chemical engineering, energy management, or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in EHS or sustainability assurance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree focused on environmental management, sustainability, climate change, ESG, or similar disciplines.
• MBA in sustainability or operations is advantageous.

Key Skills

• Expertise in validation of environmental sustainability data, including leveraging AI tools.
• Strong capabilities in data analytics and preparing reports for senior leadership.
• Knowledge of tracking and interpreting environmental legal compliance requirements.
• Leadership attributes including being a proactive self-starter with integrity and commitment.
