About the Role
This role entails managing key warehouse activities like receiving, storing, picking, packing, inventory upkeep, and ensuring safety standards are met. It is designed for freshers seeking an opportunity to develop operational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Unload goods from incoming shipments, inspect them for damages, and place items accurately on shelves.
- Follow pick lists carefully to gather specified quantities and securely pack items for client delivery.
- Use barcode scanners to log inventory digitally and assist with regular physical stock audits.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety by sweeping aisles, ensuring emergency exits are clear, and adhering to health and safety protocols.
Essential Requirements
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle heavy objects typically ranging from 20 to over 50 kilograms.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately verify item serial numbers, counts, and shipping labels to prevent errors.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with using barcode scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; forklift license or machine operation certification is advantageous.
