Job description
About the Institution
Founded in 1970, CDI College has established itself as Canada’s leading private career training provider, operating 23 campuses across five provinces. We are best known for our focus on student achievement, career readiness, and innovative programs spanning business, technology, healthcare, and creative disciplines.
Role Overview
As the Assistant Director of Admissions (ADOA), your central mission is to guide prospective students from first interest to enrolment, ensuring an engaging and supportive applicant journey. This is more than a sales job – it’s about helping individuals transform their lives through education and playing a vital part in their professional futures. You will operate in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment and be the college’s ambassador across multiple locations in British Columbia.
Key Duties
- Initiate high-volume direct outreach to prospective students, conducting 80–150 interactions daily to develop and manage the admissions pipeline efficiently.
- Facilitate personalized discovery meetings to identify applicants’ aspirations and align them with fitting programs offered by the college.
- Represent the college at recruitment events such as open houses and career fairs, actively engaging potential students and increasing program visibility.
- Oversee the complete admissions cycle, from first contact through successful registration, ensuring all compliance and documentation requirements are satisfied.
- Consistently achieve or surpass monthly student enrollment goals by implementing effective relationship management and follow-up strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum two years’ demonstrated success in a high-activity sales, business development, recruitment, or telemarketing role (direct consumer engagement preferred).
- Resilient, target-oriented, and self-motivated, with a strong drive to excel and overcome challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport with prospective students, overcoming objections confidently.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, proven sales track record will be prioritized over educational background.
- Extra consideration for experience within private post-secondary admissions or education industry sales.
- Comfortable maintaining accurate records in a CRM and adapting quickly to dynamic environments.
Compensation and Growth
- Base salary ranging from $50,000 to $52,000, supplemented by an uncapped 2% commission on enrollments and a comprehensive benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional advancement; preference given to internal promotions.
- Supportive, value-driven organizational culture focused on innovation, tradition, and student outcomes.
