Role overview
Philips is seeking an Assistant Category Marketing Manager for its Personal Health division in India. This role offers practical exposure to category management while contributing to the expansion of well-known consumer brands. You will work alongside the Category Marketing Manager to help define business and marketing direction, support product introductions, and help deliver consumer-focused campaigns that drive growth.
What you will do
- Support category expansion by reviewing category performance, spotting growth opportunities, and contributing to business plans that improve revenue and profitability.
- Assist with product launches from start to finish, including market evaluation, pricing inputs, competitor analysis, portfolio planning, and commercialization support.
- Use consumer, shopper, and market data to identify trends, monitor competitors, and convert insights into practical recommendations.
- Help run integrated marketing programs across ATL, BTL, digital, e-commerce, and retail touchpoints while maintaining consistent brand communication.
- Contribute to channel planning across modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, quick commerce, and newer retail formats.
- Work with regional and global stakeholders to localize international campaigns and innovations for Indian consumers.
- Monitor category and campaign outcomes, prepare business review materials, and surface insights that improve future decisions.
What you should bring
- Strong interest in brand building and consumer behavior.
- Commercial awareness with comfort working through data and analysis.
- Ability to collaborate across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Digital, agencies, and global teams.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn quickly.
- At least 4 years of experience in Marketing, Category Management, Brand Management, or commercial roles in Consumer Durables, FMCG, Consumer Technology, or E-commerce.
- MBA from a premier business school is preferred.
- Analytical and commercial thinking, along with an understanding of ATL, BTL, digital, and e-commerce marketing.
- Knowledge of category management and portfolio planning.
- Project coordination skills, strong communication, and stakeholder management ability.
- Curiosity and agility in a fast-moving business environment.
Work arrangement
This is an office-based position in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Philips expects office-based teams to work in person at least 3 days per week.
