Job Overview
The Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing & Fan Experience plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategic marketing and fan engagement initiatives that promote the University of South Carolina's Athletics Department. The role aims to boost attendance, generate revenue, and enhance the overall fan experience by collaborating with various departments to strengthen the Gamecock Athletics brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead marketing liaison for the baseball program and secondary marketing lead for football.
- Manage and direct the mascot program to align with the department's branding goals.
- Participate actively in committees focused on revenue generation and brand development.
- Design and implement new events and fan engagement opportunities that drive revenue growth and improve attendance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least four years of relevant professional experience, which can be supplemented by an equivalent mix of certifications, training, education, or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in sport management, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in a related area.
- Prior experience working in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics, preferably within the Power Four conferences.
- Strong background in strategic planning and departmental operations.
