Job description
Position Overview
The Civitas Institute at The University of Texas at Austin is inviting applications for multiple tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in the social sciences and public policy disciplines, with appointments commencing in August 2026.
Roles and Responsibilities
We are seeking candidates for several faculty roles at the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor for the 2026–2027 academic year. Candidates from a broad array of related fields including Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and public policy sectors such as economics, law, education, energy, technology, housing, and finance are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.

- A current curriculum vitae;
- A detailed cover letter outlining your research agenda, teaching interests, and competencies;
- A scholarly writing sample produced within the last three years;
- Three letters of recommendation.
