  • Carry out bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review any variances.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, process capitalisation entries, and support Capex reporting.
  • Handle IFRS 16 lease accounting and prepare the related monthly journals.
  • Prepare and submit monthly GST returns and assist with FBT reporting.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting packs, budgeting, and forecasting work.
  • Support KPI reporting, analysis, and business planning activities.
  • Gather, coordinate, and present financial data and insights to stakeholders.
  • Assist with annual audit preparation and statistical reporting requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant role or a similar position.
  • Progress toward CPA or CA accreditation, or an intention to begin that pathway.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical ability with the confidence to interpret and explain data clearly.
  • Excellent accuracy and the ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, disciplined approach with a mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Perks and benefits

  • Opportunities to build your skills and progress your career within a supportive team.
  • Employment with a stable, established organisation that is focused on growth.
  • A convenient workplace in Box Hill.
  • Free monthly product allocations.
