Assembly Fitter

Overview

Jal Automation & Systems seeks a proficient Assembly Fitter to handle mechanical assembly tasks for Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), industrial automation systems, and bespoke machinery. The ideal candidate will be skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and assembling components compliant with quality benchmarks and client specifications. This position requires hands-on work with mechanical parts, pneumatic systems, and basic electrical elements while strictly adhering to safety and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) precisely based on approved assembly and general arrangement drawings.
• Interpret technical documents including BOMs and assembly instructions accurately.
• Mechanically fit components such as fabricated parts, shafts, bearings, linear guides, motors, gearboxes, couplings, and machine frameworks.
• Install and align pneumatic devices like cylinders, FRLs, valves, and piping systems.
• Perform light fabrication tasks including drilling, tapping, grinding, and deburring as required during assembly.
• Ensure precise alignment, leveling, and overall accuracy throughout the assembly process.
• Utilize measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges for quality inspections.
• Carry out trial runs of machines and troubleshoot assembly-related defects.
• Collaborate with multiple departments including Design, Production Planning, Electrical Assembly, and Quality Assurance.
• Keep accurate assembly documentation and daily progress reports.
• Adhere to 5S methodologies, safety protocols, and company standard operating procedures.
• Identify and report quality concerns, material shortages, and suggest process improvements to supervisors.

Remuneration

The role offers a monthly pay ranging between INR 12,000 and INR 20,000.
