Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze macroeconomic data for ASEAN economies, including Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.
  • Develop frameworks and models to forecast key economic indicators such as GDP, inflation, fiscal deficits, current accounts, and policy interest rates.
  • Co-author and publish comprehensive research reports alongside global economists and strategists.
  • Communicate BNP Paribas's economic perspectives effectively to clients.
  • Construct quantitative models to enhance the accuracy of economic forecasts.
  • Collaborate with global teams to integrate worldwide economic insights.
  • Work closely with market strategists to align forecasts with market dynamics.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 to 7 years of economist or strategist experience focusing on ASEAN economies.
  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, or related fields encompassing econometrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python is considered an advantage.
