Role Responsibilities

• Execute and manage operations within AS/400 and AIX systems environments.
• Run scripts during and after business hours covering Oracle, AIX, SQL, .Net, Web Services, and Java applications.
• Troubleshoot priority middleware application issues in a production environment using WAS logs on Unix 7.1 OS.
• Maintain detailed, timely system logs and reporting to generate daily operational status updates.
• Handle hardware including IBM zSeries processors, IBM DS8000 storage arrays, and IBM TS7700 virtual tape grid with replication capabilities.
• Utilize expertise in zOS JCL, JCL Prep, .Net, Web Services, TSO/ISPF, Windows, Unix/Linux, CA-7, Control-M, and IBM zSeries mainframes.
• Administer Tivoli Work Scheduler (TWS), ensuring proper job scheduling and coordination with various IT stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot system failures, batch job errors, and resume standard operations promptly.
• Create and maintain batch job processing projects using TWS and IBM Workload Scheduler.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for TWS job monitoring and install new IBM Scheduler agents as required.
• Monitor server health with IWS agents, conducting problem resolution as needed.
• Manage IWS Scheduler 9.4 and sustain operational run books for distributed batch functions.
• Modify, add, backup, export, and dump jobs within TWS/IWS frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ITIL processes is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills combined with analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
