We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Artist & Label Partnerships Manager to support Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia within the Maghreb region. This position is part of the MENAT+ music team and reports directly to the regional Head of Music.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for artists, labels, and music partners throughout Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, fostering relationships that promote artist growth and sustainable development.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive music strategy for the Maghreb that complements regional business objectives and captures the dynamic nature of the local music scene.
  • Forge significant artist collaborations and spearhead innovative cross-department initiatives to enhance engagement between artists and fans both on and beyond Spotify.
  • Monitor emerging artists, musical trends, audience preferences, and cultural shifts in the Maghreb region, providing actionable intelligence to MENAT+ teams, global colleagues, and relevant Spotify divisions such as Editorial and Marketing.
  • Educate and support artists, record labels, and their teams on effectively utilizing Spotify’s tools and insights to maximize platform benefits.
  • Collaborate closely with regional Editorial teams and Genre Groups on key releases and content opportunities; represent Artist & Label Partnerships in influential regional and global projects.
  • Link Spotify with industry stakeholders to uncover and execute opportunities that enhance Spotify’s content offerings and partner experiences across the Maghreb.
  • Regularly travel within Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia to strengthen connections and maintain an on-the-ground presence in local music communities.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses over seven years of experience managing artist and label partnerships, ideally within digital music services, record labels, media, technology companies, or related areas in the music industry.
  • Exhibits deep knowledge of the Maghreb music ecosystem with strong pre-existing relationships within the artist and label sectors.
  • Understands Spotify’s position in the music industry and can blend cultural insight with data analytics and audience understanding to inform strategic decisions and impactful storytelling.
  • Keeps abreast of new music and audience trends across Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, including various genres such as Moroccan pop, rap, chaabi, Algerian raï, Tunisian alternative scenes, and developments shaping future music.
  • Communicates confidently and persuasively to senior leadership, promotes regional interests effectively, negotiates skillfully, and builds consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Thrives in managing complex projects amid a rapidly evolving environment, balancing strategic foresight with operational execution, supported by strong organizational skills and meticulousness.
  • Demonstrates experience collaborating with both regional and global teams, navigating multinational structures while maintaining alignment among partners and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English and French, with fluency in Arabic (including Darija and/or other Maghreb dialects) and additional regional languages being highly advantageous.

Workplace and Inclusion

  • This role is based in Dubai, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site with some required in-person meetings.
  • Spotify is committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming all individuals regardless of background, identity, or experiences, and strives to maintain an accessible and supportive recruitment process including accommodations as needed.
