The role also supports the school’s broader International Baccalaureate program. In addition to classroom instruction, the teacher will contribute to student experiences and IB Diploma Core support across the school year.

Additional school responsibilities

Teachers at ICS help supervise overnight student programming such as Camp Phoenix in the fall and Focus Week in the spring. They also assist students in grades 11 and 12 with the Extended Essay and the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) requirements of the IB Diploma Core.

Qualifications

A Washington State teaching certificate with an Art/Visual Arts endorsement is required.

Salary and benefits

Compensation follows the district teacher salary schedule and includes the base contract, along with additional pay for LEAP days and responsibility assignments. The position also comes with a technology stipend and a professional fund. A full benefits package is available to employees who work at least 630 hours during the school year.

Application information

Applicants must submit an online application. Finalists will be invited to interview. The district is unable to sponsor employment at this time.
