Role Overview
As an Art Director based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, you will own the visual direction of projects spanning branding, marketing, and content development. This full-time, on-site position involves spearheading visual concepts from inception to final delivery. Daily responsibilities include defining creative direction, managing graphic design and layouts, mentoring designers and freelancers, and maintaining visual harmony across all client interactions. Collaboration with creative, marketing, and production teams and presenting ideas to clients will be essential. You will juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines while ensuring exceptional design quality.
Key Qualifications
- Proven leadership in creative and art direction with a track record managing visual concepts and campaigns.
- Expertise in branding, particularly in crafting visual identities, logos, and unified design systems.
- Advanced skills in graphic design, including layout, typography, and digital and print production processes.
- Proficiency in professional design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience working in creative studios, agencies, or brand environments, ideally with senior-level design or art director responsibilities.
- A robust portfolio that highlights conceptual creativity, brand narrative, and multi-channel execution.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities to explain design choices to clients and team members.
- Availability to work on-site in NYC Metropolitan Area and manage several projects under tight schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience.
