Area Manager - South of Ireland (Munster)

About the Role

SOS Group is seeking a motivated Area Manager to oversee multiple commercial and residential cleaning contracts across the Munster region. The role demands strong leadership paired with substantial cleaning industry knowledge to maintain high standards and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture client relationships, ensuring regular communication and adherence to quality standards, KPIs, audits, and management reporting.
• Support business growth activities including conducting surveys, pricing analysis, and client meetings.
• Lead and manage teams effectively to drive growth and maintain profitable operations.
• Ensure workplace health and safety compliance both for employees and in collaboration with client site management.
• Coordinate the mobilisation of new contracts and oversee training, supervision, and scheduling of replacement staff when needed.
• Monitor employee attendance, sick leave, holidays, and timesheets.
• Supervise cleaning personnel by assigning tasks, evaluating progress and performance, setting priorities, and conducting site visits to monitor productivity and quality.
• Control and oversee the appropriate use of cleaning materials and conduct regular stock audits of equipment and supplies.
• Deliver inductions and on-the-job training to cleaning operatives ensuring standards are met.
• Collaborate with Human Resources in employee discipline and counseling aligned with company policies.
• Perform client contract audits as prescribed by service level agreements.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant experience within the cleaning industry is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities.
• Demonstrates initiative and a proactive, positive attitude.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Organised and methodical approach to work.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.
• Possesses a full, clean driving license as the role requires mobility across the region.
