Job description
Position Summary
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Area Manager to oversee the daily functions of multiple commercial cleaning locations. This pivotal role ensures exceptional service standards, provides frontline support to site teams, and serves as the main communication link between clients and the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned commercial cleaning sites, maintaining consistently high cleaning quality and client satisfaction.
- Perform regular site inspections and quality assessments.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to on-site personnel regarding operations, staffing, and performance management.
- Aid in onboarding and preparation for new client contracts and accounts.
- Serve as the primary client contact, addressing issues and delivering frequent progress updates.
- Review and approve employee timesheets accurately.
- Coordinate work orders including routine services and client-specific requests.
- Inspect equipment, organize repairs, and handle procurement of cleaning materials.
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients.
- Liaise with internal departments on open support tickets, equipment issues, and operational matters.
- Monitor budgetary constraints, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Conduct site visits during non-standard hours when necessary to uphold quality and operational standards.
- Travel extensively across the Greater Toronto Area and Central Ontario to effectively manage multiple sites.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience managing commercial cleaning operations; multi-site or supervisory client-facing roles preferred.
- Strong leadership capabilities, excellent conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills focused on client relationships.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and readiness to frequently travel within the GTA and Central Ontario.
