Job description
Role Overview
Tecton Architects is looking for an imaginative, inquisitive, and motivated Architectural Designer / Project Architect to join its Hartford studio. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity, allowing a balance between in-office collaboration and remote work.
The firm is especially interested in emerging professionals with 3–6+ years of experience who are excited by thoughtful, mission-driven design and want to contribute to work that benefits communities. What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with the project team across all phases, including early design, documentation, and construction administration.
- Build BIM models, prepare diagrams, and develop design presentation materials.
- Investigate and propose design directions that respond to client objectives and project context.
- Bring your own design perspective while also learning from senior architects and team leaders.
Qualifications and Background
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture is required.
- Applicants should have 3–6+ years of professional experience.
- A strong sense of design and a portfolio that clearly demonstrates creative thinking and visual communication ability are important.
- Revit proficiency is expected, supported by at least 2 years of academic or professional experience; higher-level expertise is considered an advantage.
- Exposure to sustainability frameworks or credentials such as LEED or WELL is preferred.
