Job description
Role Overview
This contract position is for an Archer Business Analyst supporting enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives on the Archer SaaS platform. The role sits between business partners and technical teams, turning business needs into practical, compliant solutions that support risk and regulatory goals, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders through workshops and interviews to uncover, analyze, and record business requirements.
- Convert business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and process flows that fit Archer’s platform capabilities.
- Assist with the design and configuration of Archer applications, including workflows, questionnaires, reporting, and data models.
- Create and run test cases tied to business requirements and acceptance criteria, and support SIT/UAT along with defect logging and resolution follow-up.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to shape the test approach, review test coverage, and confirm the system behaves as expected.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
- Prepare and keep documentation current, including BRDs, FSDs, data mappings, user guides, test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Help deliver reporting and dashboard outputs for risk, audit, and regulatory users.
Required Experience
- 3–7+ years of Business Analyst experience specifically working with Archer.
- Hands-on familiarity with Archer Evolv.
- Strong ability to gather requirements, write documentation, and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Good understanding of risk management, compliance, or audit workflows.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills.
- Practical experience in QA work such as test planning, test case creation, and supporting UAT.
Preferred Background
- Exposure to Archer use cases such as Operational Risk, IT Risk, TPRM, and Audit Management.
- Working knowledge of integrations, including APIs, ETL, and data mapping.
- Understanding of regulatory standards and frameworks such as SOX, OSFI, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Relevant credentials such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum, or Archer certification.
- Experience contributing to large GRC or transformation programs.
