Arabic Transcription Specialist (Modern Standard Arabic) | Remote Contract Role

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Arabic transcription specialist fluent in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to join us on a contract basis. This remote opportunity involves transcribing audio content accurately and enriching the transcriptions with metadata and annotations to support AI applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe spoken content in Modern Standard Arabic with high precision and fluency.
• Review machine-generated transcripts and correct any mistakes or ambiguities to ensure clarity.
• Enhance transcripts by applying appropriate metadata tags and annotations that facilitate better data utilization.
• Extract and highlight contextual and linguistic nuances within audio files.
• Maintain a meticulous approach to guarantee the transcription and annotations meet top-tier quality standards.
• Work closely with the client teams by providing comprehensive written and verbal feedback regarding the quality and issues related to the data.

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in both spoken and written Modern Standard Arabic.
• Proven background in audio transcription demonstrating excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in managing and applying metadata tags and annotations to audio or textual materials.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English, both written and oral.
• Ability to detect and rectify errors in transcripts produced by automated systems.

Additional Information

• Contract-based role requiring commitment between 10 to 40 hours per week.
• Compensation ranges from $10 to $20 per hour depending on expertise and output quality.
