Job description
Role overview
Begin your vocational training at our CITTI Markt in Kiel starting 01.08.2026 as a butcher (m/f/d). If you enjoy working with meat and sausage products, like being physically active, and value quality in every detail, this apprenticeship could be a strong fit for you.
At CITTI markets, customer service is a central part of everyday work. The shopping experience is shaped by personal advice, tastings, special promotions, free parking, and a broad premium assortment. Across the store, quality standards are taken seriously.
What you will learn
During the apprenticeship, you will develop the ability to handle food responsibly and advise customers professionally. You will learn how to process, cut, and portion meat correctly, and how to present products in a way that supports successful sales. The job is hands-on, active, and creative, but not quite as messy as you might imagine.
What we are looking for
- A solid secondary school leaving certificate is required.
- You should enjoy selling and customer interaction.
- Good numerical understanding and practical manual skills are important.
- Reliability, politeness, and punctuality are expected.
- Teamwork matters in this role.
- You should be resilient and able to cope well with physical work.
Benefits
- 30 days of annual leave with a five-day work week.
- Collective-agreement pay for the apprenticeship, including holiday and Christmas bonuses.
- Very good prospects of being taken on after successful completion, plus an additional performance bonus for strong results.
- Strong transport connections, with support for commuting through a NAH.SH job ticket or Deutschlandticket.
- Employee parking is available for bicycles and cars.
- Access to company fitness through Hansefit.
- Discounts in the stores and through Corporate Benefits, including offers from well-known brands and providers.
- An affordable canteen for apprentices.
- Opportunities to contribute ideas and take responsibility in creative apprentice projects.
- Support for success through internal training, weekly tutoring, and targeted exam preparation.
