Role Summary

The Appian Architect is responsible for the comprehensive architecture of the Appian platform, managing the solution throughout the entire application lifecycle. Key duties include designing enterprise integrations and APIs, optimizing application performance, ensuring governance and design standards, and providing architectural leadership via technical reviews. Collaboration with business and delivery teams is essential to convert requirements into scalable, secure, and well-managed Appian solutions. Familiarity with banking domain and business analysis is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

• Complete ownership of Appian solution architecture across full application lifecycle
• Proficient hands-on experience with Appian platform features such as process models, SAIL interfaces, records, sites, and integrations
• Design and management of enterprise integrations and APIs including REST, SOAP, web services, and connected systems
• Expertise in performance tuning and scaling of Appian applications
• Enforcement of application governance including design standards, reusability, and best practices
• Leading technical reviews and providing architecture guidance within delivery teams
• Partnering with technical and business stakeholders to build scalable solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of banking or financial services sector
• Skills in business analysis such as requirements gathering and process mapping
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives
• Appian certification such as Certified Lead Developer or Senior Developer
