Role Overview

Stonewater seeks a dedicated Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Caseworker to handle cases comprehensively, ensuring alignment with the organization's ASB Customer Commitments. This permanent full-time position offers home-based work covering multiple regions including Devon, Mendip, Sedgemoor, Taunton, West Somerset, North Somerset, Bristol, BANES, and South Gloucestershire.

Primary Duties

  • Manage ASB cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring an effective customer journey.
  • Exhibit advanced negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with customers, some of whom may be experiencing challenging circumstances such as hate crimes, domestic abuse, trauma, or complex financial issues.
  • Collaborate with external partners including Police, Local Authorities, Mental Health Services, as well as mediation and legal service providers.
  • Seek creative solutions to resolve cases; pursue legal action only when necessary and prepare legal cases for presentation in court.
  • Travel as needed for court hearings, customer visits, and community engagement.
  • Participate in national duty processes to ensure proper case triaging.
  • Use data and behavioral insights to recommend and help implement service improvements.
  • Develop professional expertise in ASB and support adoption of digital tools for enhanced customer service.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing ASB cases and collaborating with external stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of legislation concerning housing, ASB, and safeguarding.
  • Proficiency with the Harm-based approach in ASB triage.
  • Experience managing safeguarding cases involving individuals with complex or specialist needs.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including influencing and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with implementing new digital solutions and driving change initiatives.
  • Experience in multi-agency partnership working and preparing complex case files for civil or criminal court proceedings.
  • Capability to prioritize and handle a demanding caseload effectively.
  • Experience utilizing mediation or conflict resolution services.

Additional Information

The role requires satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service checks, references, and proof of the right to work. Comprehensive training will be provided to support success in this role.
