Role Summary
As an Analyst reporting to the Managing Director & Head of Real Estate Asia Pacific, you will support the Real Estate Investment team—including Directors and Portfolio Managers—in identifying, evaluating, and managing real estate investments and partnerships across the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop insight into investment decision-making and partner selection under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Analyze possible investments, partnerships such as joint ventures, club deals, and funds, along with tax and financial structures using quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and models.
- Assist with underwriting real estate transactions.
- Aggregate and process relevant data and financial information.
- Conduct market research focused on real estate trends.
- Support monitoring and management of the investment portfolio.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned, adhering to guiding principles of integrity, partnership, and high performance.
Required Qualifications
- Between 1 and 3 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, real estate investment, or related financial analysis roles.
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in Finance, Real Estate, or relevant discipline; candidates with real estate development or related academic background are preferred.
- Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or candidacy status are beneficial.
- Knowledge of real estate markets within Asia Pacific.
- Strong interest in technology and associated fields.
- Robust quantitative, financial, and analytical aptitude, including proficiency in discounted cash flow (DCF) and financial modelling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; fluency in Japanese or Korean is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Argus financial software preferred.
- Adaptable, proactive, and a strong team player comfortable in a high-performance environment.
- Professional integrity and eagerness to learn and contribute opinions.
- Demonstrated strong academic and extracurricular achievements, with a keen interest in financial markets and portfolio management.
