Analyst, Private Credit (AIA Investment Management)

About the role

AIA Investment Management is seeking an Analyst to join its Private Credit team in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Private Credit, this position supports the full lifecycle of private credit investing, from evaluating new opportunities through to ongoing portfolio oversight. The portfolio is largely made up of fund investments, where AIA acts as an investor or limited partner.

The role involves detailed investment analysis, monitoring performance across existing holdings, preparing stakeholder updates, and helping improve investment and compliance workflows. It also requires flexible support for team priorities and ad hoc requests, with a focus on sound judgment, accuracy, and effective decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out thorough due diligence on new private credit fund, co-investment, and secondary opportunities, including assessment of credit quality, risk profile, manager capability, market conditions, legal and tax considerations, operational review, and internal approval processes.
• Track current investments by reviewing regular reporting and maintaining active dialogue with fund managers on progress, portfolio performance, and broader market developments.
• Draft portfolio commentary and recurring reports, and handle ad hoc queries and assignments from internal stakeholders such as Asset Owners and Group Office teams.
• Improve investment and compliance processes by streamlining workflows, introducing technology-enabled solutions, and applying leading industry practices.
• Provide support to other team members and assist with requests from both internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in investment-related roles; prior exposure to fixed income, private credit, private equity funds, fund-of-funds, or direct investing is preferred.
• A university degree in finance, economics, business, or a closely related discipline is required; CFA or CAIA certification is an advantage.
• Strong quantitative and analytical ability, with mandatory proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with eFront, iLevel, Aladdin, Bloomberg, and/or Python is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and responsiveness.
• Collaborative, dedicated, team-focused, and open-minded working style.
