Role overview
EFG Holding is growing its Investment Banking presence in Saudi Arabia and is hiring Analysts / Associates for its Riyadh office. The role is suited to professionals with 2–3 years of experience who are ready to contribute to major transactions, work closely with senior dealmakers, and gain exposure to complex, high-profile mandates across a variety of sectors.
The position is designed for someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment, can solve demanding financial problems, and wants to build experience with transformative deals in one of the region’s leading financial institutions.
Purpose
The main objective of this role is to support transaction execution through detailed company research and analysis, enabling well-informed recommendations.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and analyze all information relevant to pitches and live transactions, including sector/industry details and macroeconomic indicators for the countries involved.
- Study the market forces and core drivers shaping the relevant industry.
- Develop a deep understanding of the target company from both operational and financial perspectives, then build and maintain financial models that reflect its business accurately.
- Collect data on peer and comparable companies, including research materials and financial statements, and prepare comparable multiples analyses covering trading and precedent transaction multiples.
- Support the creation and compilation of pitch books, presentations, and transaction documentation, and help prepare all required materials.
- Join business meetings as needed and record concise, accurate minutes.
- Follow all applicable AML/CTF requirements while performing the role.
- Complete all AML/CTF training assigned by the Group in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to AML, CTF, and sanctions-related queries.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Engineering, along with a solid grounding in finance; CFA Level 1 completion is preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in Corporate Finance or Research.
- Strong ability in financial analysis and modeling.
- Good numerical aptitude.
- Excellent writing and spreadsheet capabilities.
- High proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with active listening ability.
- Comfortable working collaboratively and building effective relationships.
- Able to recognize issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a consistent focus on high-quality output.
- Capable of performing well under pressure.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage several projects and shifting deadlines.
