Role overview
TD is hiring an Analyst for its Power & Utilities investment banking team in New York. In this position, you will support senior bankers with financial analysis, valuation work, model building, and the preparation of client-facing materials while also working directly with clients.
Work location and schedule
This role is based in New York, New York, United States. The standard work schedule is 40 hours per week.
Compensation
The posted base pay range for this role is USD 110,000 to USD 135,000. Actual pay may differ depending on your experience, skills, role-specific knowledge, location, and other business needs. What you will do
- Work as part of a deal team under the guidance of a senior leader.
- Analyze client financial information, industry trends, market data, and merger or acquisition opportunities.
- Support the valuation of both privately held and publicly traded companies.
- Build and update financial models in Excel at a basic to intermediate level.
- Contribute to external client proposals and internal underwriting memoranda.
- Help prepare presentations for clients using the analysis and materials developed.
- Interact with senior bankers and clients as part of the day-to-day workflow.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and follow bank policies and standards.
- Provide broad support across the team in a professional working-role capacity.
Background and qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in Business, preferably Accounting or Finance, or in Mathematics or Economics.
- Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
